Hughie Vaughan is widely regarded as the country’s most promising future surfing champion.

At just 17, Hughie has already made his mark on Australia’s competitive surfing scene. Tackling some of the world’s most dangerous surf breaks, earning international recognition in the process.

Crowned the 2023 Stab Magazine Junior of the Year, Hughie is a genuine embodiment of homegrown talent. Based on the NSW Central Coast with North Shelly as his home break, Hughie and his three older brothers have been surrounded by Australian surfing royalty since their early years.

Hughie first picked up a surfboard at the age of 2… and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down since.

It is only a matter of time before we see him on the world stage.
