Iconic Australian surf brand Rip Curl is proud to be renewing its multi-million dollar partnership with surfing legend Tyler Wright for another three years, as a show of commitment to women’s excellence in the sport.
A surfing prodigy from a young age, Tyler Wright is a two-time World Champion surfer who has gone from strength to strength. Backed by Rip Curl, she has her eyes on more World Titles and Olympic Gold medals in years to come.
The recent partnership extension sees Wright’s relationship with Rip Curl extend to more than 20 years, illustrating the trusted brand’s leadership and dedication in the women’s surfing arena.
In April 2022, Tyler Wright won the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach competition, scooping up her 15th Championship Tour prize. Her triumphant win followed four long years of recovery from Post Viral Syndrome, where she worked hard to get back on the water and surf to the bestof her ability.
“I am proud to sign with Rip Curl, a brand I love and have worked with for over 20 years. This multi-million dollar deal represents more than the next chapter in my surf career, but carries a lot of weight for women’s progression, equality and inclusion in the surf industry.
Over the last few years, Rip Curl has shown tremendous investment in women’s surfing and I am proud to continue our partnership together. I look forward to furthering program development around the areas of performance, mental health, and wellbeing for this generation and the next”.
‘I couldn’t be more excited about the future. Thank you, Rip Curl,” said Tyler Wright.
Rip Curl CEO, Brooke Farris, is excited to continue its partnership with an outstanding surfer and continue supporting Wright, both in and out of the water. “As we reach a 20 year milestone in our partnership with Tyler, this is a significant contract renewal.
It acknowledges Tyler’s outstanding achievements to date, and reflects our belief in Tyler for her years ahead. In the water or on the land, Tyler brings strength, determination, honesty, and intuition to all she sets her heart and mind to. A pleasure to support, we’re privileged to be in Tyler’s corner as she sets her sights on adding to her two world titles.”
Tyler Wright and Rip Curl would like to acknowledge The Traditional Owners of the Land where Tyler lives, works and competes. The Gadigal People of the Eora, The Wodi Wodi People of The Dharawal, The Minjungbul People of the Bundjalung, The Wathaurong People of the Wada Wurrung and The Wandandi Noongar people of the south west Boojarah region and all other Nations.
