RECAP TYLER WRIGHT’S ROAD TO VICTORY AT THE 2022 RIP CURL PRO BELLS BEACH

Tyler Wright returns to Torquay, Victoria next week to defend her title at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.

As the first of two events in Australia for the World Surf League Championship Tour, Ty has had her eyes set on winning this event since she first joined the tour at 16 years old. In 2022 the surfing world stopped to watch Ty take out the win for the very first time.

This incredible achievement was rendered even more significant considering the difficult path Tyler has had to overcome to get back to being an event champion.

At one of the prime times of her career, the two-time World Champion suffered a diagnosis of Influenza A and post-viral syndrome, taking her out of competition for almost two years.

Take a look as the WSL recap of Tyler’s road to victory at the Rip Curl Bells Beach Pro in 2022.

You can catch Tyler from April 4 on Fox Sports and Kayo, as she looks to be the first person to go back-to-back at the event since 2017.
