NOVA Entertainment has announced the launch of the brand-new podcast hosted by one of Australia’s most celebrated pilots.
FLY with Richard de Crespigny is set for take-off on August 28.
From leading passengers through one of the most critical aviation emergencies in modern history to guiding individuals and organisations through high-pressure moments, Richard de Crespigny has become a globally recognised authority on leadership, resilience and crisis response.
In FLY, Richard will recount his harrowing experience commanding Qantas Flight 32, where an engine explosion mere minutes after take-off tested his decades of training and resilience.
The podcast takes listeners beyond that moment, as Richard speaks to thought leaders, high achievers and everyday heroes. Together, they explore how to confront uncertainty, overcome adversity and exemplify leadership through life’s most demanding challenges.
Richard says “The lessons I’ve learned about building resilience and surviving chaos in the air apply far beyond aviation. I created FLY not just to help people lead through crises, but to thrive in the good times.”
With military and civil aviation careers spanning 45 years, Richard flew some of the world’s most advanced aircraft and was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for his services to aviation.
Rachel Corbett, NOVA Entertainment’s Network Director for Nova Podcasts, says “Richard is one of the most respected voices in aviation, and his experience navigating high-pressure situations is second to none. In FLY, he brings that same clarity and composure to deeply human conversations about resilience, leadership and growth. It’s a compelling and inspiring listen that offers real takeaways for anyone wanting to thrive under pressure or build confidence in the face of challenge.”
