Hosted by Channel Nine Sports presenter, James Bracey, these live shows will be a unique opportunity for fans to take a deep dive into the mind and motivations of one of Australia’s most successful and transformation-driven coaches. From his 2017 departure from the Socceroos to conquering Japan with Yokohama and now Scotland with Celtic, learn all about Ange Postecoglou’s incredible rise to glory – the untold story so far.
As Australia’s most successful ever football (soccer) coach, Ange Postecoglou struck gold when less than 18 months into his reign as Australia’s Socceroos head coach his re-generated team hoisted the 2015 Asian Cup in front of 75,000 delirious football fans at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
The Greek-born and Australian-raised mentor was also widely applauded for the dignified and professional manner in which he exited his Socceroos role after guiding his team passage to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, reminding the public of the great honour he had been handed to oversee the national team.
Ange is now the head coach of Celtic FC, the most senior global appointment any Australian football coach has ever achieved. Away from football, he is also a successful author, keynote speaker and brand ambassador.
“An Evening with Ange Postecoglou – The Journey So Far” will take place in the days following the exciting match-up between Ange’s Scottish Premiership champions Celtic FC and English Premier League club Everton, as they kick off the newly created Sydney Super Cup on Sunday 20th November. The England vs Scotland rivalry match will see the return of Ange Postecoglou to Sydney’s Accor Stadium, the venue of one of his most famous coaching wins when Australia won the AFC Asian Cup in 2015.
